In 2016, a group of designers captivated by traditional craftsmanship and natural aesthetics began exploring the boundless possibilities of plant-based dyeing. After five years of dedicated research and experimentation, NAWABA was born in 2021. We bridge ancient dyeing wisdom with contemporary design, redefining the harmony between sustainability and artistry.
Growth: From Studio to Global Wardrobes
By 2023, we established our first botanical dyeing workshop in the Jiangnan watertown region, renowned for its silk heritage. Here, every fabric undergoes a meticulous, handcrafted journey—harvesting plants, extracting pigments, and immersion dyeing. Today, NAWABA’s creations have reached discerning customers in over 20 countries across three continents, offering garments that "breathe with nature."
